Proposals for trials units

Proposals for voluntary accreditation of phase I clinical trials units in the UK have been put forward by the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency.

The proposed scheme is designed to provide the MHRA and ethics committees with more information about facilities seeking to conduct phase I trials and so improve decision-making about approvals.
