Acupuncture reasonable

Acupuncture appears to be a reasonable therapy option for patients with knee osteoarthritis when lifestyle measures and paracetamol are insufficient or contraindicated, the latest issue of the Drug and Therapeutics Bulletin concludes (2007;45:76).

It adds that although there is evidence to support acupuncture, it is not known what constitutes an optimal treatment course.
