Honorary membership presented to Fidrun Podczeck
Honorary membership of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society was conferred upon Fidrun Podczeck, professor of pharmaceutics at the University of Sunderland, at the October
Council meeting.
Professor Podczeck graduated in pharmacy in 1984 from the Martin Luther
University in the former German Democratic Republic and spent a number
of years at the London School of Pharmacy.
She received her honorary membership of the Society “in recognition
of her great contribution to the advancement of knowledge in the field
of pharmaceutical science and to the training of many pharmacists in
London and Sunderland”, said the President.
Thanking the Council, Professor Podczeck, pictured left receiving her
certificate from the President, Hemant Patel, said: “I will endeavour
in the future to be worthy of this high honour I have received.”
