Record BP over 24 hours

Ambulatory blood pressure should be recorded over 24 hours in order to predict fatal and non-fatal cardiovascular events, according to research published in The Lancet (2007;370:1219).

Researchers studied 7,458 people across six countries with an average age of 56.8 years. After follow-up of almost 10 years the researchers conclude that both daytime and night-time blood pressure are vital prognostic indicators.
