BPSA urges students to respond to Pharmacy 2020 consultation

The British Pharmaceutical Students’ Association this week put its weight behind the Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain’s Pharmacy 2020 consultation as its president, Heena Bhakta, submitted her completed form online.

“Students are the future of the pharmacy profession,” Ms Bhakta said.

“Pharmacy 2020 offers a real opportunity for students to get involved in the development of our profession. Everyone’s opinion counts and I would urge students to make the most of this unique opportunity by having their views heard.”

Pharmacy 2020 aims to help the Society plan strategically for the future and ensure that pharmacy is recognised as a mainstream health service.

The Pharmacy 2020 consultation document (PDF 370K)was distributed with The Pharmaceutical Journal on 6 October, although respondents are encouraged to respond online via the consultations tab on the homepage of the Society’s website.

The consultation closes on 28 December 2007. Further information is available by sending an e-mail to 2020@rpsgb.org.
