Pharmacists asked to participate in lung cancer awareness

November is Lung Cancer Awareness Month and this year community pharmacists are specifically asked to keep a look out for patients with suspicious symptoms.

The awareness month is an annual event jointly supported by the Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation and Macmillan Cancer Support, and this year also promoted by the Royal Pharmaceutical Society, the National Pharmacy Association and Lloydspharmacy.

The Society has produced new practice guidance in conjunction with The Journal, (PDF 610K).
