Society appoints new head of public affairs and head of practiceThe Royal Pharmaceutical Society has appointed new heads of public affairs and of practice.
Charles Willis took up his position as head of public
affairs on 1 November 2007. He reports to Deborah Oliver, interim director
of public affairs
and communications. His previous
posts include head of external affairs at the Adolescent and Children’s
Trust, director of Burson-Marsteller Public Affairs, acting director
of communications at the Royal College of Midwives and head of the Parliamentary
Information Unit and Assistant to the Chief Whip and other whips in the
Labour Whips Office. As head of practice, her key tasks will include: maintaining and developing a strategic approach to the implementation of Council’s policy on the development of the profession; advising and assisting in the development of the practice of pharmacy in all sectors; and developing and promoting good practice standards within the profession of pharmacy. |
