A new model pharmacy was opened this week at the University of Central Lancashire’s school of pharmacy and pharmaceutical sciences in Preston.

Built by local firm Cohens Chemist, the pharmacy’s counter and consultation room are wired up to cameras to allow staff to record students’ interactions during training.

Head of school Antony D’Emanuele commented: “[The facilities] will enable students to experience real-life situations, and allow us to monitor their progress every step of the way.”
