EPS research announced

NHS Connecting for Health is to spend £750,000 on a two-year academic study to find out whether the electronic transfer of prescriptions from GPs to pharmacies benefits patients.

The research, which will involve academics from the University of Nottingham Medical School, the University of London’s School of Pharmacy and the London School of Economics, will entail a large scale before and after study to find out whether EPS results in a reduction in dispensing errors.
