Meropenem SPC
Information about dosing for renally impaired patients is incorrect in printed versions of the summary of product characteristics for Meropenem (meronem). AstraZeneca has written to healthcare professionals to make them aware of the error.

The correct dose for patients with creatinine clearance of 26–50 is one unit dose every 12 hours.

For patients with creatinine clearance of 10–25 it is one half-unit dose every 12 hours.

For patients with creatinine clearance of <10 it is one half-unit dose every 24 hours.

Correct dosing information is available on all Meropenem packs, in the British National Formulary and at www.medicines.org.uk
