A campaign to promote medicines use reviews has been launched by the Pharmaceutical Services Negotiating Committee.

Campaign materials include an advertisement for local pharmaceutical committees (LPCs) to place in newspapers and for contractors to use as a poster.

LPCs have been briefed on the campaign and given a draft press release to use to raise the profile of MURs locally.

Mike King, PSNC head of LPC and contractor support, said: “There are a large number of patients who could benefit from an MUR and this campaign is intended to raise awareness among the public of this free service.”

AAH support AAH Pharmaceuticals is to offer media relations advice to help its customers promote their services.

The wholesaler is offering to draft and issue press releases to local media, and to manage and promote new pharmacy launches, national health awareness campaigns and local health promotion initiatives.
