Welsh AfC to be amended
Agenda for Change in Wales is to see a number of inconsistencies ironed out following health minister Edwina Hart’s acceptance of the recommendations of a review of the new pay system for NHS staff.
The review of the system’s implementation recommended that arrangements should be amended so that no members of staff have their total pay reduced when entering the new system. The review also suggests that an NHS Wales job evaluation unit should be created to support trusts and local health boards in completing Agenda for Change assimilation and that a national system be introduced to deal with appeals.
Ms Hart said she fully accepted the review’s recommendations, but that they would require some further work before they are implemented.
