Society summary

Retention fee reminder

The Society would like to thank members and pharmacy technician registrants who have made their 2008 annual declaration and payment. Less than 5 per cent have not yet done so, and they are now reminded to make their application for retention by 16 March 2008 if they wish to remain registered.

Those who have yet to make their payment and declaration face removal from the Register if applications for retention are not received by that date. Any pharmacist whose name is removed from the Register at that point will be required to pay the full restoration fee should they wish, at any time in the future, to restore their name to the Register. The 2008 restoration fee is £753.

Those who wish voluntarily to remove themselves or retire from the Register should complete and return their retention fee form before the 16 March 2008 deadline.

To make a payment and declaration, or to check that these have been received by the Society, registrants should log on to myRPSGB

Registrants concerned about the declaration are asked to look at the correction published in The Pharmaceutical Journal on 19 January (p64), or speak to a member of the registration division. The registration division also will be pleased to handle any queries registrants have (tel 020 7572 2322, e-mail registration@rpsgb.org) but is not able to take payments over the telephone this year.
