Pfizer has no intention of working with additional wholesalers

Pfizer has no intention of broadening its direct-to-pharmacy supply model to include additional wholesalers, The Journal has learnt.

One year on from the inception of Pfizer’s single distributor agreement with UniChem, a Pfizer spokesman said that the company continually reviews its arrangements to maintain and improve high levels of service.

But he confirmed: “Pfizer does not have any plans at present to introduce another logistics service provider for its distribution arrangement. Since implementing our arrangements in March 2007, we have delivered over 35 million packs of Pfizer medicines and 99 per cent of all orders have been received on time and in full.”
