Society gives members free access to journals online

An online library service has been launched by the Royal Pharmaceutical Society.

Called myLibrary, the service enables pharmacists to download articles from over 1,700 journals, as well as search abstracted references to published articles in pharmacy, medicine and health. The resource also offers simplified access to the Society’s document supply and enquiry services. Members of the Society can access myLibrary via myRPSGB, the secure members’ area of the Society’s website.

Sarah Butler, information librarian at the Society, said: “[myLibrary’s] launch comes at a time when there is encouragement for pharmacists to pursue evidence-based practice and a requirement for them to ensure that their professional development corresponds with their ever-widening role in supporting patients. We fully expect that myLibrary will become a significant resource for pharmacists wishing to increase their professional knowledge.”
