Co-proxamol discounts
The Pharmaceutical Services Negotiating Committee has announced that
all prescriptions for co-proxamol dispensed in January will be considered
automatically exempt from discount deduction, following agreement by
the Department of Health.
All co-proxamol prescriptions dispensed from
February will be subject to discount deduction. Meda, the only UK
manufacturer of co-proxamol (now unlicensed), has confirmed that, from
1 February 2008,
it is providing discounts for co-proxamol purchases to all pharmacies,
the PSNC says. Simon Colebeck

the local oncology ward that cared for Mr Colebeck at Leicester Royal
Infirmary.
