Broccoli sprouts

Extract of broccoli sprouts (pictured) could help to protect against bladder cancer, a rodent study suggests (Cancer Research 2008;68:1593).

Researchers demonstrated significant, dose-dependent inhibition of bladder cancer development for rats fed broccoli sprout extract along with a bladder carcinogen, compared with those given the carcinogen only.
