Chris Morris withdraws from English board election

Chris Morris, a member of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society’s English Pharmacy Board, has withdrawn from the forthcoming board elections.

Mr Morris said it was with great regret that he was withdrawing as an election candidate. “Geographic location means that I find it hard to take on extra commitments … and family issues mean that I can hardly find the time to read the material required,” he stated.

“I apologise for doing this now when the election has already been scheduled … the best thing I can do is step aside and allow more experienced heads [to] remain at their posts.”

A letter from Mr Morris will be published next week.
