Advice to patients (11) Digoxin tablets
- Digoxin tablets help the heart to beat strongly and regularly.
- It is important to taken the tablets regularly. Try to take them at the same time each day. Do not stop taking them without first speaking to your doctor.
- Avoid taking indigestion remedies for at least one hour before and after taking the digoxin. They can reduce the amount of digoxin your body absorbs and so make it less effective.
- Problems can occur if digoxin is taken with some other medicines. Are you taking any other prescribed medicines or medicines you have bought?
- Like all medicines, this one can have some unwanted effects. If you feel sick, vomit, lose your appetite, or have palpitations or blurred vision, tell your doctor straight away.
