Winner of Hospital Pharmacist credit for learning series
announced
Ruth Fleet, senior surgical pharmacist at Royal Preston
Hospital has been awarded the prize for achieving the highest score in
the sixth Hospital Pharmacist credit for learning series. Her prize
was a cheque of £500 given towards attendance at a pharmaceutical conference
or course of her choice.
Mrs Fleet received her prize on 29 May at an award
lunch arranged by Faulding Pharmaceuticals, sponsors of the series.
Speaking to Hospital Pharmacist, Mrs Fleet,
who has been doing the credit for learning exercises since their inception,
said that she found the credit for learning exercises satisfying as they
helped to ensure that her reading was purposeful. Mrs Fleet plans to use
her prize to attend the United Kingdom Clinical Pharmacy Association symposium
in November.
The HP credit for learning exercises, which
appear in alternate issues of the journal, are multiple choice questions
on the special feature in that issue. The marking of answers is carried
out by the College of Pharmacy Practice.
All pharmacists who complete the exercises receive
a certificate of completion.
