The College of Pharmacy Practice is organising the following study days: "Risk management — what every health care professional needs to know" on 2 May at Novartis Foundation, Portland Place, London; and "Paediatrics" on 11 June at the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology. The Faculty of Prescribing and Medicines Management of the College of Pharmacy Practice is holding its inaugural annual conference entitled "Medicines management in practice" at Nottingham Hilton Hotel on 10–11 May. Wirral Hospitals NHS Trust has won top prize in the 2002 Healthcare Information Technology Effectiveness awards for an evaluation of an automated dispensing system at the trust.
