EVENTS
The Institute of Biology (IoB) and the Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain (RPSGB) are holding a symposium entitled “Anti-infectives: the way forward” on 8–9 July at the Royal Pharmaceutical Society’s headquarters in London. There will be speakers from the World Health Organization and the Public Health Laboratory Service. Further details and an application form are available from Conference and Events Manager, IoB, on 020 7581 8333 ext. 237. Registration fee for RPSGB members is £160. The deadline for registration is 1 June.

UK Medicines Information is holding a conference on “Perspectives in patient safety” on 19–21 September in Chester. The programme includes sessions on the National Patient Safety Agency, complementary medicines and controlling human error. Further details are available on 0151 794 8170 or druginfo@liv.ac.uk. The registration fee is £200 (or £235 after 26 July).
