Call for AAH technician of the year 2003Entrants are being invited for the 2003 AAH Hospital Pharmacy Technician of the Year award. The award, which is now in its sixth year, recognises the role of hospital pharmacy technicians in developing and improving pharmacy systems and encourages forward thinking. It is open to hospital pharmacy technicians in the United Kingdom who are involved in working practices which promote innovation or efficiency in the pharmaceutical supply chain. Application details and further information can be obtained from the awards co-ordinator, Sarah Wardle (tel 02476 432941 or e-mail sarah.wardle@aah.co.uk). The closing date for entries is 30 May 2003. The 2002 award was won by Jason Hobson (senior pharmacy technician, Barnsley District General Hospital) for his entry on "Extending the role of the pharmacy technician to work in the pharmacy-run anticoagulant clinic" (Hospital Pharmacist July/August 2002, p183). |
