Hospital automated dispensing machine is important to patients

An automated dispensing machine in the pharmacy is important to patients and will be welcomed by wards and clinical services as it will enhance efficiency, said Mark Hackett, chief executive of the Royal Wolverhampton Hospital NHS Trust. Mr Hackett was speaking at the unveiling of the new automated dispensing machine installed at the hospital.

Dr Ray Fitzpatrick, clinical director of pharmacy said, “We are excited to have this new development in the department as it is an important part of our modernising process.” He added: “This new system is particularly exciting as not only is it fast but it is also very space efficient allowing us to store a lot of medicines in a relatively small space.”
