Agenda for change technician profiles agreed

Five pharmacy technician job profiles have now been agreed by the Association of Pharmacy Technicians United Kingdon (APTUK) and the Job Evaluation Working Party for “Agenda for change”. They cover bands three to seven and represent a basic salary of between £13,266 and £34,417.

An announcement that the profiles are agreed was made to technicians at the APTUK annual conference in Templepatrick, Northern Ireland on 23 April. Further details on p210.

Another announcement made at the APTUK conference, by Dr Kate McCelland, president of the Pharmaceutical Society of Northern Ireland, was that it has been agreed that technicians in the province will be able to register with the society.
