Pharmacy practice research, ethical issues and local research ethics committees

Pharmacy practice research projects carried out in a community setting will often require approval from a local research ethics committee. This article discusses the processes, and problems, involved in seeking ethical approval, and sets out a framework for incorporating ethics committee approval into the design of a project.
