Pharmacist intervention scheme in Devon

Community pharmacists in Devon taking part in a new pharmacist intervention scheme are to be paid £5 per intervention in an initial six-month pilot.

South Hams and West Devon PCT has worked closely with the local pharmaceutical committee to find ways of addressing how community pharmacy could play a more integrated role in primary care, which also links with medicines management. The interventions will be audited during and after the scheme has finished.
