PSNC project continues to progress

Details on the background to the national study which is expected to improve medicines management of the chronically ill are now available on the medicines management website of the Pharmaceutical Services Negotiating Committee.

The results of the Community Pharmacy Medicines Management Project, which is being led by the PSNC and involves community pharmacists discussing medicines managements with coronary heart disease patients, are due to be published next August.

And the PSNC website www.medicinesmanagement.org.uk has now made available background details of the project, including the kind of questions patients are being asked by community pharmacists involved in the scheme.

The information on the site is based on the project handout which was available at a recent “Effective patient and public involvement conference” in London in November.
