The National Clinical Guidelines for Stroke have been published and are available from the Royal College of Physicians, London, priced £22. You can also download them at www.rcplondon.ac.uk/college/ceeu_stroke_home.htm The guidelines cover pathways for the treatment and rehabilitation of patients. Tables of evidence for drug treatment are included.

American Journals
www.medscape.com You can obtain free registration to this site. It is particularly useful in accessing American medical and pharmaceutical journals, which are unavailable in the medical library. The American Journal of Health-System Pharmacy, Journal of the American Pharmaceutical Association, Pharmacotherapy, Consultant Pharmacist and the Journal of Managed Care Pharmacy often have articles relating to pharmaceutical care or drug utilisation.
