Breast Cancer Services (Hospital Pharmacist March 2005)
“Your Guide to Breast Cancer Services 2005” has been launched by the charity Breast Cancer Care. The guide, which is set to be updated and published annually from now on, is designed to help patients make informed decisions about accessing care. Cancer booklets launched (31 May 2003)
The charity CancerBACUP has launched two booklets offering practical advice for cancer patients. “Controlling the symptoms of cancer” covers tiredness, eating problems, nausea and depression, along with less common symptoms such as hiccups and itching. Medicines and complementary therapies are included. The other booklet, entitled “Controlling cancer pain”, covers both medicines and other methods of pain control.
