Busco-calm

Boehringer Ingelheim Ltd has asked the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency to reclassify Buscopan (hyoscine butylbromide 10mg tablets) as a GSL medicine under the trade name Busco-calm. The product will be licensed for the relief of gastrointestinal tract spasm associated with irritable bowel syndrome.

Consultation period: 2 July 2003 to 13 August 2003.
