Canesten Combi

Bayer Plc has asked the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency to reclassify Canesten Combi (clotrimazole 500mg pessary with 10g clotrimazole 2 per cent cream) as a GSL medicine. The product will be licensed for the treatment of candidal vaginitis and candidal vulvitis if candidal vulvovaginitis (thrush) has been previously diagnosed by a doctor.

Consultation period: 9 September 2003 to 21 October 2003.
