Omeprazole 10mg

Galpharm Healthcare Ltd has asked the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency to reclassify omeprazole 10mg gastroresistant tablets as a pharmacy medicine. The product is currently a prescription-only medicine (POM) and, if reclassified, will be licensed for the relief of reflux-like symptoms, eg, heartburn, in sufferers aged 18 years and over.

Consultation period: 16 May 2003 to 27 June 2003.
