Vivioptal capsules

Pharma-Global (UK) Ltd has asked the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency to reclassify Vivioptal capsules (a vitamin and mineral supplement) as a pharmacy medicine. The application is intended to rectify an anomalous situation where Vivioptal is licensed and markets as a pharmacy medicine even though one of its active ingrediants (adenosine) is a POM substance. Vivioptal is licensed as a supplement for vitamin and mineral deficiency.

Consultation period: 23 July 2002 to 3 September 2002.
