Statutory Committee decisionsListed below are the outcome of recent inquiries heard before the Statutory Committee of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain. On Monday 18 February 2002, in the inquiry into Victor Harari, of 17 Ilkley Drive, Davyhulme, Manchester, the committee found the misconduct established and resolved to reprimand Mr Harari. In the resumed application for restoration of Perry Melnick, of 11 Highwood Gardens, Ilford, Essex, the committee resolved to direct that the name of Mr Melnick be restored to the Register of Pharmaceutical Chemists. On Tuesday 19 February 2002 in the application for restoration of David Michael Hardman, of 105 Bramble Lane, Mansfield, Nottinghamshire, the committee resolved to direct that the name of Mr Hardman be restored to the Register of Pharmaceutical Chemists. In the inquiry into Martin Paul Harvey Merriman, of "Belvido", Aydon Road, Corbridge, Northumberland, the committee found the misconduct established and resolved to reprimand Mr Merriman. On Wednesday 20 February 2002, in the inquiry into David Eugene Bloomfield, of 4 Westall Close, West Street, Hertford, the committee found misconduct established and directed the Registrar to remove Mr Bloomfield's name from the Register of Pharmaceutical Chemists. Under Section 11 of the Pharmacy Act 1954, this direction is not to take effect until the expiration of a period of three months from the date on which notice of removal is given or in a case where an appeal has been brought against the direction, until the appeal is determined or withdrawn. In the application for restoration of Zia Ul Haq, of "Fairfields", 2 North Road, Spennymoor, County Durham, the committee resolved to direct that the name of Mr Haq should not be restored to the Register of Pharmaceutical Chemists.
