Statutory Committee inquiriesThe Statutory Committee will meet at the Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain, 1 Lambeth High Street, London SE1 on Tuesday 21 May 2002 at 10am to hear (1) an inquiry into a complaint by the Council of the Society against a pharmacist which includes allegations that the sale of pharmacy medicines and the dispensing and supply of prescription only medicines in the absence of a pharmacist amounts to misconduct. The Committee will also hear (2) an inquiry into a complaint by the Council against a pharmacist which alleges that theft of temazepam elixir and the pharmacist's failure to deal with patient returned medicines in an appropriate manner, amounts to misconduct. The committee will further meet on Wednesday 22 May 2002 at 2pm to hear (3) an application for restoration from a person whose name was removed from the Register. The committee will further meet on Thursday 22 May 2002 at 10am to hear (4) an inquiry into a pharmacist convicted of three counts of theft of prescription/Controlled Drugs and one count of being in possession of a quantity of amphetamine and (5) an inquiry into a pharmacist convicted of one count of theft of a quantity of diamorphine ampoules and one count of being in possession of a quantity of heroin.
