Statutory Committee decisions

Set out below is the outcome of recent Inquiries heard before the Statutory Committee of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain.

In the inquiry into Rabinder Thind, of 21 Walden Road, Hornchurch, Essex, which commenced on Tuesday 21 and continued on Wednesday 22 and Thursday 23 May 2002, the committee resolved to adjourn the inquiry.

On Tuesday 21 May 2002, in the inquiry into Neil Michael Henderson, of Flat 2, 1 The Square, Northam, Bideford, Devon, the committee, having found the misconduct established, resolved to adjourn the inquiry on terms until autumn 2002.

On Wednesday 22 May 2002, in the application for restoration of David Emanuel, of 85 Mount Pleasant Road, London NW10, the committee resolved to direct that the name of Mr Emanuel should not be restored to the Register of Pharmaceutical Chemists.

On Thursday 23 May 2002, in the inquiry into Richard Laurence Conway, of 25 Pollard Road, London N20, the committee, having found the convictions proved, directed the Registrar to remove Mr Conway's name from the Register of Pharmaceutical Chemists. Under Section 11 of the Pharmacy Act 1954, this direction is not to take effect until the expiration of a period of three months from the date on which notice of removal is given or in a case where an appeal has been brought against the direction, until the appeal is determined or withdrawn.

In the inquiry into Rosemary Elizabeth Levy, of 76 Park Lane, Whitefield, Manchester 45, the committee, having found the convictions proved, resolved to adjourn the inquiry for 18 months.
