Welsh Executive election result 2003

In the annual election of four members of the Welsh Executive, two of the retiring members, Robert Gartside and Peter Jones, were returned to the Executive. The two new members are Colin Hugh Thomas and. Diane Heath. Mr Thomas and Mrs Heath succeeded Andrew Hales and Karen Worrall, who chose not to seek re-election.

The result of the election for members of the Welsh Executive are as follows:

Diane Heath 233

John Williams 227

Paul Gimson 224

Phillip Bullen 216

Peter Jones, Robert Gartside, Colin Hugh Thomas and Diane Heath were declared elected.

The number of voting papers issued was 2239; 601 were returned, of which one was disallowed.
