Statutory Committee inquiries

The Statutory Committee will meet at the Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain, 1 Lambeth High Street, London SE1, at 9.30am on Monday 20 September, Tuesday 21 September, Wednesday 22 September and Thursday 23 September 2004 to hear the following inquiries:

Monday 20 September
1. An inquiry into the case of a pharmacist who has been convicted of indecent assault on a female.

2. The committee will resume consideration of an application for restoration by a person whose name has been removed from the Register of Pharmaceutical Chemists.

3. An inquiry into the case of a pharmacist who has been convicted of offences under the Road Traffic Act 1988, namely, two counts of driving while intoxicated, failure to stop after a road traffic accident, driving while disqualified and driving without insurance.

Tuesday 21 September
4. An inquiry into an allegation that a pharmacist had acted as a superintendent pharmacist in circumstances in which the pharmacist was not sufficiently competent in the use and understanding of the English language and had failed to understand, and to discharge, the responsibilities of a superintendent or of a pharmacist providing professional services.

5. An inquiry into the case of a body corporate alleging the appointment and continued employment of a superintendent pharmacist who was not sufficiently competent in the use and understanding of the English language and who had failed to understand, or to discharge, the responsibilities of a superintendent pharmacist or of a pharmacist providing professional services.

Wednesday 22 September
6. The committee will resume its consideration of an inquiry into the case of two pharmacists alleging the continued harassment and the making of threats to board members and employees of a company and to their families.

Thursday 23 September
7. The committee will resume its consideration of an inquiry into the case of two pharmacists alleging the continued harassment and the making of threats to board members and employees of a company and to their families.
