Retiring members of Council

The change to a new constitution means that all current Council members will stand down in 2005 (although some may be re-elected or reappointed). The retiring elected members are: Gerald Alexander, Hassan Argomandkhah, Martin Astbury, Shiv Bagga, Sultan Dajani, Digby Emson,Davan Eustace, Alison Ewing, Christine Glover, Nicola Gray, Gillian Hawksworth, Patricia Hoare, Clive Jackson, John Jolley, Hemant Patel, Graham Phillips, Douglas Simpson, Linda Stone, Noel Wicks and Nicholas Wood. (Maurice Hickey resigned from the Council in December 2004.)

The Council has decided that information should be published concerning attendance by retiring elected members of Council at regular meetings of the Council in the previous two calendar years. The following information covers the years 2003 and 2004. There were six regular meetings of the Council in each year and therefore up to 12 possible attendances during the two years.

However, not all of the retirees will have been in office for the full two-year period. Actual attendance figures have therefore been given together with the total possible attendance for each member, as follows:
