Alterations to the Byelaws: Council attendance fees

Notice is hereby given in accordance with Section XXVIII of the Byelaws that the Council of the Society, under its powers in the Pharmacy Act 1954, has approved proposals to alter the Byelaws concerning the Council and meetings of the Council (Section VII) as hereunder and that it intends to make such alterations after the expiry of 60 days from the date of this notice, subject to such amendments as the Lords of the Privy Council may require.

Section VII
Paragraph 3 In the first sentence insert “reasonable” before “fee” and delete the words “but not exceeding £200”.

Ann Lewis
Secretary and Registrar

Note: The effect of the proposed Byelaw amendment is to make the level of fees payable to Council members a matter for the Society’s own members. Consultation with the membership would be undertaken on future proposals to change fees payable to Council members.
