Statutory Committee decisions

Set out below are the outcomes of inquiries heard before the Statutory Committee of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain on Tuesday 18, Wednesday 19 and Thursday 20 October 2005.

1. In the new inquiry into the case of Harold Lomax (registration number 55293) and Harold Lomax Ltd (identification number 1000832), the committee resolved to direct the Registrar to remove Mr Lomax’s name from the Register of Pharmaceutical Chemists. Under Section 11 of the Pharmacy Act 1954, this direction is not to take effect until the expiration of a period of three months from the date on which notice of removal is given or in a case where an appeal has been brought against the direction, until the appeal is determined or withdrawn. The committee resolved to take no further action against Harold Lomax Ltd.

2. The new inquiry into the case of Oluseyi Michael Alakiu (registration number F799) was adjourned to a future date.

3. The new inquiry into Peter Chung Lan Chiu (registration number 78926), Ajay Kant Dharampal Walia (registration number 76620), and Anchor Health Ltd (identification number 1086763) was adjourned to a future date.
