Statutory Committee decisions
Set out below are the outcomes of inquiries heard before the Statutory Committee
of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain on Monday to Thursday, 21
to 24 November 2005.
1. In the resumed inquiry into Peter Chung Lan Chiu (registration number
78926), Ajay Kant Dharampal Walia (registration number 76620), and Anchor
Health Ltd (identification number 1086763), the Committee resolved to
take no further action against Mr Chiu. The committee further resolved
that Mr Walia and Anchor Health Ltd had no case to answer.
2. The new inquiry into Maria-Jose Mariscal Navarro (registration number 1078456)
and Andrew Murdock (registration number 73499) was adjourned to a future date.
3. In the new inquiry into Keshavlal Raghavji Jethwa (registration number 63534),
the committee resolved to issue Mr Jethwa with a reprimand.
4. In the resumed inquiry into Oluseyi Michael Alakiu (registration number
F799), the committee resolved to direct the Registrar to remove Mr Alakiu’s
name from the Register of Pharmaceutical Chemists. Under Section 11 of the
Pharmacy Act 1954, this direction is not to take effect until the expiration
of a period of three months from the date on which notice of removal is given
or in a case where an appeal has been brought against the direction, until
the appeal is determined or withdrawn.
5. The new inquiry into Manherlal Keshavlal Shah (registration number 63471)
and MAM International Ltd (identification number 1001688) was adjourned to
a future date.
6. The new inquiry into Maysa Jibreel Al-Natsheh (registration number 90768)
and Preston Park Chemists Ltd (identification number 1087052) was adjourned
to a future date.
