Retiring members of Council
The change to a new constitution for the Royal Pharmaceutical Society's Council in 2005 means that the Council members who stand down in 2006 are the five who received the lowest number of votes when elected last year to the 14 unreserved places for pharmacists. The five are Shiv Bagga, Dorothy Drury, Andrew McCoig, Bharat Nathwani and Douglas Simpson.
The Council has decided that information should be published concerning attendance
by
retiring elected members of Council at regular meetings of the Council in the
previous two calendar years. The following information therefore covers the years
2004 and 2005. There are
six regular meetings of the Council in each year and therefore up to 12 possible
attendances during the two years. However, most of the retiring Council members
were not in office for the full two-year period. Actual attendance figures are
therefore given together with the total possible attendance for each member,
as follows:
