Council election: ballot papers invalidated

The Royal Pharmaceutical Society Council election ballot papers that were mailed out last week have been declared invalid. An administrative error caused ballot papers to be sent to pharmacy technicians as well as to pharmacists.

New ballot papers will be sent to all pharmacists this week, on salmon-coloured paper. Those pharmacists who have already voted will need to vote again, as any of the original (grey) voting papers received will not be counted. The candidate booklet will not be sent out again, but will be made available online on this occasion. Electoral Reform Services will also be able to send copies of the booklet to individual voters on request. The deadline for receipt of voting forms by Electoral Reform Services remains noon on 5 May 2006.

The Society sincerely regrets the necessity for this remailing, and apologises for any inconvenience this may cause.
