Statutory Committee inquiriesThe Statutory Committee will meet at the Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain, 1 Lambeth High Street, London SE1, at 9.30am on Monday 26 June, Tuesday 27 June, Wednesday 28 June and Thursday 29 June 2006 to hear the following inquiries. Monday 26 June 2006 1. The committee will resume the inquiry into a complaint by the Council
of the Society against Richard Gregory Woodroffe (registration number
68919),
Margaret Mary Rita Gorman (registration number 67793) and Alan
Woodcock Ltd (company identification number 1001329), which alleges that a dispensing
error involving the supply of 100 Celance 1mg tablets against a prescription
for 200 Pergolide 50µg tablets may amount to misconduct. Tuesday 27 June 2006 3. An inquiry into a complaint by the Council of the Society against Korush Jalali Farahani (registration number 1067185), which alleges that the theft of a number of codeine phosphate tablets from a pharmacy while working as a locum pharmacist, the possession of 14 Kapake capsules which had not been prescribed for him, and the consumption of codeine phosphate tablets and Kapake capsules while working as a locum pharmacist may amount to misconduct. The committee will also consider a conviction for the theft of 40 codeine phosphate 30mg tablets and 14 zolpidem tartrate 10mg tablets of a value unknown belonging to Superdrug Plc, contrary to Sections 1(1) and 7 of the Theft Act 1968. Julia Ruth Harrison (registration number 85697) and James
Dyan Laurence (registration
number 84262), which alleges that a failure to have in place a suitable
system for the delivery of medicines, the supply of prescription-only
medicines
without the authority of valid prescriptions, and having in place a system
which permitted the supply of prescription-only medicines to patients in
circumstances where the prescriptions had not been signed by the time of
supply may amount to misconduct. Thursday 29 June 2006 6. An inquiry into the case of Francis Smialowski (registration number
70425), who has been convicted of four counts of dishonestly obtaining
money transfers
by deception, namely, by representing that he had carried out work outside
of normal working hours for which he was entitled to claim payment, contrary
