Council election 2007

Following the close of nominations on 2 March 2007, and completion of validation of nominations, the first part of the election of members of the Council of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society has been concluded. The second part of the election is the ballot. However, this year, for both pharmacists and pharmacy technicians, the number of candidates standing does not exceed the number of places for which candidates have been nominated. Accordingly, those candidates have been declared elected.

Unreserved places for pharmacists The following candidates have been confirmed: Gerald Alexander; Steve Churton; John Gentle; John Jolley; Sue Kilby; Cathryn Leask.

As there are six candidates standing for six available places, under the Regulations, the returning officer has declared that the candidates listed above have been duly elected to the Society’s Council for a three-year term of office, commencing from 0.01am on 19 May 2007.

Pharmacy technician place The following candidate has been confirmed: Steve Acres.

As there is one candidate standing for one available place, under the Regulations, the returning officer has declared that Mr Acres has been duly elected to the Society’s Council for a three-year term of office, commencing from 0.01am on 19 May 2007.
