Health Committee decision

On Monday 16 July 2007, the Health Committee of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain made an order under Article 54 of the Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians Order 2007 that the registration of Tenveer Akhtar (registration number 1071212) be conditional on her compliance with the following requirements:

• within seven days of the notification of Miss Akhtar of this decision, she will return to the Society all certificates issued by the Society of her registration as a pharmacist which are held by her

• Ms Akhtar will not make any application to be registered under Part 1 of the Register (Practising Pharmacists) unless accompanied by medical reports dealing with her medical fitness to practise as a pharmacist

• any such application shall be referred to the Health or Disciplinary Committee for advice

• Ms Akhtar must not send unsolicited communications expressing her views on topics of public or general interest in her capacity as a registered pharmacist or in which she refers to her registration as a pharmacist unless she has received specific prior approval in writing for such communication from the Society

This order is subject to review within six months.
