Health Committee

The Health Committee of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain has made the following directions:

1. On Wednesday 27 February 2008 the Health Committee made an order under article 51 of the Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians Order 2007 that for a period of three years the registration of Rashpal Sidhu (registration number 76381) shall be conditional upon his compliance with the following requirement: to remain on the non-practising part of the Register of Pharmacists. This order is subject to review before the expiry of three years.

2. On Wednesday 27 February 2008 the Health Committee made an order under article 51 of the Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians Order 2007 that for a period of 18 months the registration of Mark Andrew Roebuck (registration number 84471) shall be conditional upon his compliance with the following requirement: to remain on the non-practising part of the Register of Pharmacists. This order is subject to review before the expiry of 18 months.

3. On Thursday 28 February 2008 the Health Committee adjourned the hearing relating to Bhavini Jayprakash Patel (registration number 74677) to 8 April 2008. The Committee directed that the interim order made on 30 July 2007 should remain in force. On 30 July 2007, the Health Committee made an order that Mrs Patel’s registration be conditional, for a period of 18 months, on her compliance with the following requirements: not to undertake any on-call duties, weekend work, out-of-hours work or extended hours work; to remain under the supervision of a workplace supervisor approved by the Society, who shall be a registered pharmacist; to allow the Society to exchange regular progress reports from the approved workplace supervisor; to notify all employers or contractors of the matters under consideration by the Society and of the conditions in this Order (in the case of prospective employers this notification must be given at the time of application); and, to inform in writing the Society’s Fitness to Practise Directorate before undertaking any position in the UK or elsewhere for which registration is required.
