Disciplinary Committee directions and orders

On Monday 7 and Tuesday 8 April 2008, the Disciplinary Committee of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain made the following directions:

1. Following an inquiry into Carl Gregory Dyson (registration number 84253), the committee directed the removal of Mr Dyson’s name from the Register. Under Section 11 of the Pharmacy Act 1954, the direction to remove Mr Dyson’s name from the Register is not to take effect until the expiration of a period of three months from the date on which notice of removal was given or in a case where an appeal has been brought against the direction, until the appeal is determined or withdrawn.

2. Following the inquiry into Rukhsana Nadiadi (registration number 72490), the committee directed the removal of Ms Nadiadi’s name from the Register. Under Section 11 of the Pharmacy Act 1954, the direction to remove Ms Nadiadi’s name from the Register is not to take effect until the expiration of a period of three months from the date on which notice of removal was given or in a case where an appeal has been brought against the direction, until the appeal is determined or withdrawn.

On Wednesday 9 April 2008 the Disciplinary Committee directed that the interim order relating to the registration of Anne-Marie Dove (registration number 68161), made on 9 November 2007, should remain in force. This order is subject to review within six months. (On 9 November 2007 the Committee made an order that Mrs Dove’s registration be suspended for a period of 18 months.)

On Wednesday 9 April 2008 the Disciplinary Committee directed that the interim suspension order relating to the registration of John Russell Pugh (registration number 72593), made on 9 November 2007, should be replaced with an order for conditional registration. This order is subject to review within six months.

On Wednesday 9 April 2008, the Disciplinary Committee made an order under Article 54 of the Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians Order 2007, that the registration of Carl James Thomas (registration number 86246) be suspended for a period of 18 months. This order is subject to review within six months.

On Wednesday 9 April 2008 the Disciplinary Committee directed that the interim order relating to the registration of Mohamad Ali Traboulsi (registration number 77942), made on 9 November 2007, should remain in force. This order is subject to review within six months. (On 9 November 2007 the committee made an order that Mr Traboulsi’s registration be suspended for a period of 18 months.)

On Thursday 10 April 2008 the Disciplinary Committee made the following directions:

1. Following an application on behalf of James Robert Cranston Tugby (previous registration number 80640), the committee directed that Mr Tugby’s name should be restored to the Register. The committee further directed that, in accordance with article 55(6) of the Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians Order 2007, Mr Tugby’s registration should be conditional on his compliance with the following requirements: that he does not own a pharmacy for a period of three years; that he does not act as a superintendent pharmacist for a period of three years.

2. Following an application on behalf of Trevor Sherlock (previous registration number 68591), the committee directed that Mr Sherlock’s name should be restored to the Register. The committee further directed that, in accordance with article 55(6) of the Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians Order 2007, Mr Sherlock’s registration should be conditional on his compliance with the following requirements: that he does not own a pharmacy for a period of three years; that he does not act as a superintendent pharmacist for a period of three years.

On Tuesday 15 April 2008 the Disciplinary Committee made an order under Article 54 of the Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians Order 2007, that the registration of Wenxi Tan (registration number 1081415) be suspended for a period of 18 months. This order is subject to review within six months.
